Alternative to Efax? 1

One of my new remote users has an account with Efax to send & receive all faxes. I understand that the Efax software does not work on a terminal server, so he will have to receive the faxes in .tif format, and go to the e-fax website whenever he wants to send a file from our system. (otherwise copy the file to his local machine to use the software...)

Either way, it is cumbersome.

I would like to find a solution that will work for all of my remote users on MetaFrame. Does anybody have ideas?

Not exactly what you are looking for I suppose, but it performs the same objective...

I set up Hylafax to use with our Citrix server. Basically, the Citrix server just runs a Windows based client, all the real work is done by a Linux server (PII 333).

Seems to work great, and it was free! Well...aside from the time spent figuring out how to make it work

I might consider it for use in my head office.

What I am really looking for is an alternative for my remote users who work out of their homes. At the moment, they each have a separate fax line. I would like for them to be able to eliminate the additional phone line and send & receive Faxes via e-mail (with the ability to fax documents right off my file server.)

Any other ideas?

Sounds like you need RightFax 8.5 made by Captaris.
you can send/receive faxes via Outlook or their client. You can e-mail faxes/attatchments as well.

It is well worth the expense and it is the number 1 server faxing solution in the world!!!
