Greeting folks,

Hope you can help me figure this out. I have a VB6 application I wrote 3 years ago that is being used by every department in my company, every day. Part of that app is the display and printing of PDF files, which we use for scanned attachments and archived copies of documents. I used the PDF.OCX ActiveX control file from Acrobat 5 (and later 6) to allow me to call Acrobat and display and print PDF Files from within my application. And it has worked very well, up until now.

Apparently version 7 of Acrobat no longer supports the ActiveX control. The rest of the IT staff here wants to upgrade all the departments to Acrobat 7, but when they do that it causes my app to crash because it can no longer run Acrobat. I'm under pressure to come up with an alternative method of controlling Acrobat 7 from within my application. As I said before, I need to display documents in my VB6 app and print documents too.

Is there anything I can do? What does Adobe expect us developers to do so we can run Acrobat remotely?

Thanks for any help anyone may be able to give.
