Hi,

I've altered the name of db (by backing up db then restoring it to new name under a new SQL Server group in Enterprise manager). I can connect to db in SQL Server 2000. In PB 9 (in the database profiles setup) I can not connect to the new database, I've entered the correct server etc, but it complains about an 'Login incorrect'. Before I used the login sa, but this no longer works.

I can run the application successfully through PB (??) it is just when I try to view dw's in PB itself.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Hi,

I have used RelativeDate powerscript function to calculate a future date. This was fine, but the client now wishes to exclude weekends. RelativeDate doesn't have this functionality and I can not find a function in PB which does. Does anyone know of a function or can give me some pointers to achieve what relativedate does but excluding weekends? This is pretty urgent too.... Thanks

Donna

1) Check your database profile for the new db.

2) Use the DayNumber method to find and exclude weekends (days 1 and 7) within your range.

Thanks for the advice! The first problem is still evident, although I have managed to connect to the database using ODBC is takes AGES to open up datawindows etc so it is not ideal. The database name is in the database profiles and the server is all correct. I am trying to log on as sa but says 'login incorrect'. Also checked how connect to db in enterprise manager and used the credentials from here (this is how connect when run exe too (thru use of an ini file)) still get 'login incorrect'. How do I check/know what to log in as if the credentials from ent manager are not correct? I'd appreciate some tips... Thanks

Have you tried the OLE DB drivers?

i have the latest version of MDAC if that is what you mean. I just need to know how to connect to the database (which Login in etc) which I thought I'd checked in the database but obviously not. Where can i check this info as database profiles complains that the login is correct.
