I have a wierd problem. I can log into the MySql server using mysqlcc or with SQLyog, and create a DB and all the tables I want. If I need to make a change to the table structure I get an error stating it couldn't rename the table. It doesn't matter what user/passwd I use I get the same result. I even used the command prompt to create a new user with all privileges. I am running a FoxServ 3.0 gold install of PHP,MySql, etc. on a Win NT 4.0 Workstation. I have reinstalled whole system (Foxserv) twice and even if I use the default password I get the same error. Can anyone shed some light on this??

Thanks
Ed

Thanks vbkris for the response. I think I may have found the issue. It seems that my need to be punctual was my downfall. I was capitalizing my db name along with the fields. I recreated my small db with all lower case and I can now alter tables and enter records. What a wierd issue to have between the two OS (Linux and Windows)

Thanks again
Ed
