alt / tooltip on image or link around image in mobile?

Is it possible to display a tooltip / alt above an image in any sony ericsson mobile?

Not that I am aware of. Have you tried putting an ALT or TITLE tag into the image tag and seeing for yourself?

Using what browser? There are many browsers for that platform, I believe. Have you tried a different one?

It's not a P900 or something like that, it's a new version of the S700.

To which the answer is yes. For your specific mobile, who knows. Try contacting Sony Ericsson to see what browsers are available.

OK, I just wondered if there was a generic problem or generic solution for this. I achieve the same result with K700, K750 and other mobiles from SE in that size.

You should find out the name and version of the default browser in use on that platform and read the specs for it.
