Record your greeting ie greeting 1, 2, 3, or 4 for table 1 with a basic "good morning you have reached abc company, for spanish/french press 9 now" Now if someone has pressed a 9 they will hear prompts in the alternate language. You can customise the way it sounds by recording the AA menu prompt prime in english and alt in the alternate language. remember to record a mailbox greeting in both the primary and the alternate language for each mailbox also so the person listening will hear the appropriate greetings. This was a simplified example. you can set up a co line as alwayse altenate language and have the alt language table (table 2?) always in alt language. JerryReeve

Was the system initialized as bilingual? If not change it in F983 - Pswd - 2. Also, if it was, you can record Alternate language prompts in CCR menus, AA menu prompts, mailboxes but not greetings, so what I would do is record each greeting in both languages all at once. ex. "Good morning you have reached ABC company, for Spanish press 9, Gooda Morninga youa havea reacheda AaBaCa companya, Fora Spanisha pressa 9a" - put this all in Greeting 1 - sorry I can't speak or write Spanish.

What I did which seems to work fine is under CCR I recorded
under the home menu to press 1 for english and 2 for spanish and and recorded the same options under both menus.

and then under path 1 and 2 I made them a menu point. This seems to work fine.

Thanks for your input.

A side note for you is that yes using the tree in the manner you have you can give specific greetings in the desired language but the system prompts ""using the dial pad please etc. etc."" or ""one moment please"" these and other prompts from the system can be changed to your alternate language, provided that the alt languages are still available on your voicemail. If you desire those prompts in language let us know. JerryReeve
