Hello, I am sure someone has a neat solution !

Customer with IP500v2 has an Access database with around 5000 customers and would like to know who is calling before picking up the phone.
It doesn't have to be live data, an export every couple of weeks or so would still give a 99%+ hit rate.
The directory has a maximum 2500 entries so am looking at some sort of TAPI but any screen pop mustn't take focus. This way means that the call can ring a group, they can look to see who is calling but can continue typing if not taking the call.

The ideal solution would be a way of using TAPI PRO to intercept the call and then ring the group with the phone displaying the name but otherwise a pop up screen like the one that Outlook generates when an email arrives would do nicely.

Thank you.

VM pro with DB integration would make short work of this :)

How about Avaya's One-X Callassistant, it has a pop-up as you describe. One-x portal can be linked to a external LDAP dtabase.

A simple mind delivers great solutions
