Alpha Channel Help

I wanted to make a tiff image in AE with RGB+Alpha, I was hoping when i sent this tiff image to photoshop it would have created the embedded alpha channel, it did'nt. IS this possible or do I have to render a seperate image of the alpha?

in the tif render option
did you check

Resolution
X 32 bits/pixels

LZW Compression will save you space on your hard drive specially if your footage is like something in the middle of "no pixel land"

in CHANNELS you should have ...RGB + Alpha
(tips : you can also choose to render ONLY the alpha by choosing ... ALPHA)

in DEPTH Millions of colors +

color Premultiplied (Matted)


and after... when rendered... you should have a 32 bits image 24 for the color and 8 for the alpha chanel...

it should work...



but if not
may a problem with the tif format...
chose another one... tga... sgi...

and check the almost same parameters...
