I would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction. I have NCR XR5 running Aloha 12.3.58 and I need it to print to an Epson T-88IV. The XR5 has USB ports and I have a Sabrent USB to DB9 adapter that is functioning properly (Advanced settings match printer, Com port matches Aloha). I cannot figure out the correct pinout to go from the DB9 on the Sabrent to RJ45 to DB25 connected to Serial port on printer. I have researched and tried a variety of configurations. Modem, Null Modem, Crossover, etc. When the printer is connected Aloha recognizes something is attached, the Error message on Aloha Term goes out, but then the Error message returns in about 20 seconds. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Setup the printer as usb. You can use the Epson Adanced printer driver. During install it will ask for name of printer. SO cal it local or other simple name with no spaces dashes periods or commas
In aloha
setup as type windows printer, make sure you use same name you used in windows
