Hey there. I am having a problem with one of my aloha terminals. I have tried to reboot the terminal, refresh the data, but still nothing. Two of the terminals works fine, but one is looping over and over. it looks into windows, auto runs the system, but reboots to a "loading windows" screen before attempting to boot again. It is looping so fast, I am not able to see what the error is before the loop. When I stop the front of the house, the terminal will log into windows, then shut itself down by itself.

i am thinking it is a corrupt file of some sort, but have no clue where to do the error check. Any ideas?

It's probably an EXITING file in the Aloha(qs)\TMP folder, a missing or corrupt aloha.ini in the Aloha(qs)\DATA folder, or incorrect access to the master terminal. You can hold shift while windows is starting to bypass Aloha from loading or use safe mode.

It's almost definitely an EXITING file. The question is, what is putting there, and will it end up back there again if there is an actual problem....

There are too many conditions to list, and sometimes they do just simply get "stuck".

Like Bigblok said, just stop Aloha from loading per his instructions, and delete that file and see what happens.
You can also hold down the CTL key when you see the Windows desktop.

The "EXITING" marker file can be created by an one time anomaly. To avoid ongoing problems in this instance you can add an "if exist, delete" line in your aloha.ini file or in another batch file that runs at startup.
"IF EXIST %iberdir%/aloha/tmp/exiting del
%iberdir%/aloha/tmp/exiting
