I am brand new to Aloha (5.3.44) and one of the terminals crashed (Terminal 3). I am going to clone one of the other terminas HD (terminal 2). Onced cloned I am going to chage it to terminal 3, Can someone please tell me what other steps are needed to make this terminal funcion again?

Easiest - See if you have a folder in Aloha called Terminst on the new cloned terminal, if not do you have it on the server? If yes copy it over to the new terminal and run the file setuptrm.exe. Name your terminal #3 and make sure the total # of licenses is correct.

Also easy - Edit the Ibercfg.bat file in the Aloha folder on term3 and change the set term=2 to term=3. Save

You'll Also need to change the term name in my computer from term2 to term3.

Your network settings IP will need to be changed to make term3 unique from term2. i.e. 192.168.1.3 (assuming this is your protocal).

That's about all I can think of right now. You may need some policy changes too, not sure.

What's the OS on the terms (w2k, xp) this info may help in case I missed something. Others here will probably add more to this if needed.

Thank you so much. I will try that today.

The OS is XP professional.
