aloha tableservice v5.2 NEED HELP w/ ITEM MATINANCE

when i log into aloha manager in BOH and go into add an item- the drop down with all my items is messed up. instead of seeing the number then the item, i see:

*******and then some numbers

can someone please tell me what's wrong and how to fix it?
