Ive been getting seeing some suspicious activity from the wait staff at my restaurant regarding CC tips. Just like a of places do, when the server runs there checkout at the end of there shift, it shows the owed tips from CC's on there checkout & we as management pay this out from the register. Anyways, whats weird is the other night I believe a server had more CC tips than what came out on there report(almost like another server was stealing there tips, except in the aloha system itself). Is there a way to transfer tables in/out of another servers # and claim the tips for themselves, and if so is there a way management can track and identify this thievery? Im not exceptionally familiar with Aloha myself but i definitely have access to pretty much the entire system, I know there are ways to run Audit reports and such that show all kinds of activity in Aloha....Ive just never had the need or taken the time to actually play with all the tools/reports. Im also suspicious of another behavior by a few of the wait staff that seems very odd to me, in that a few of them are constantly checking there "total sales" throughout there shift....almost like they are monitoring something else they are doing to make sure there sales match something else or that they hit a certain mark. Its kinda weird considering ive been exposed to and used this same Aloha system for years and haven't seen this behavior at any of our other stores except this one. Any help/suggestions regarding any of this would be greatly appreciated PLEASE!!
