Aloha SPY and DVR

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
We installed a hik-vision DVR with an VSI-Pro (Text overlay equipnment)
We are having issue's getting the aloha pos to sent the data out of the serial port to the VSI Pro.
We tried editing the .ini file but with no success.
We also turned on aloha spy, but from what i see thats only for tcp/ip data.
Has anyone ran into this? What are we missing?

One of my support companies has had good luck configuring the output as a pole display and having it show on DVR equipment.

I would start with your support, if you have any. If not, I would recommend hooking your DVR up via whatever port it plugs into and trying to configure your pole display. That would be cheaper than reaching out to a support company as that will cost you an arm and a leg with no guarantees they will get it working.
