Adding router to Aloha system. Any help appreciated with setting up tcp/ip settings. Any documentation available on setting up a router with the Aloha system.

The pariticulars of your system could vary, but about the only precautions I would recommend is to statically define all addresses (as memembers of the same subnet as router, of course)--for the BOH and for all FOH terminals. For us--on the FOH terminals, I usually defined the default gateway as the server IP, and for the BOH I define the default gateway as the router. Not saying you have to do it this way, but we've done it this way with no problems for a while now.

Other suggestions include mapping PCAW to the server (assuming this is used), and standard security procedures. All of this info more or less assumes you'll have the BOH hooked up to the Internet.

The last thing is, if they aren't used IP now, you might want to have the Lanacfg.exe utility handy just in case.

Others may have additional suggestions, but I've never really ran into snags here (that I am aware of, anyway)--not all that tricky.
