Hey gang - got two weird problems that may be related...?

My Visa report from EDC is always about $10-$15 off from the register reports. So far, it is only that card too - MC, etc. seem to always balance out.
And - my cash has been coming up OVER recently, anywhere from $10 -$60 in the drawer that we can't figure out!

One more thing - is there a way to run a report from BOH that details each transaction for the day? The boss wants something more than the summary reports that they run from FOH - he's looking for skimmers, and wants to manually audit all the tickets for a while...

thanks!!

Is your EDC always coming up short the $10 - $15? I can only think that someone is running a manual refund through your EDC. Check your daily EDC transaction log for any tranactions that were not processed through the POS (Employee ID, Employee Name, Check # will be missing on the EDC report). If you find any, these would have been processed manually through the BOH. From there you can review a transaction report (Report->Create Transaction Report). This is exported to a csv file, and will tell you who was logged in at the time of any manual refund/charge.

Hope this helps,
Matt

If you would like to run a report from the BOH that details every transaction for the day, print an audit report. It shows every credit card swiped, every button the servers press on the FOH terminals.
