I'm having a problem with my Aloha POS system. When I open the Iber file, it will begin to load for a few seconds the I get a message that says, "Stop File Found, Exiting...", while the other terminal is going through an endless loop of trying to to load, then rebooting itself. I'm guessing this has been going all night as there's about a foot and a half of receipt paper hanging off the printer with lines of question marks on it.

Last night seemed to batch OK, so I don't know exactly when this problem began.

This is Aloha version 5.3 running on a Jiva Posiflex terminal. Please let me know if you need any other info to assist me in diagnosing the problem. I'd really really like to avoid paying for a techie to come out, I can't afford it at the moment!

Thanks in advance.

You will probably find a file called "Stop" in your %iberdir%\TMP folder on the server. If it is not there, check the same folder on the terminal.

You may simply be able to delete it and move on, but more likely, it is getting created for a reason that will be stated in your terminal's debout. If you read the debout, you will see the "found stop file" message there. Read UPward from there to see why it was created. If it makes no sense to you, paste the debout contents here.
