This is an error I'm getting in my terminal debout. .olk files are gathering up in the Aloha data folder. This is since updating to a Windows 7 Back office. We have followed the Windows 7 doc. Can any one tell why some terminals are having this problem?
Aloha 6.4.27

"RemoveOrderLockFileDirectly()...Failed to remove lock file Z:\Aloha\DATA\00200006.OLK THAT I OWNED! IberGet_Last_Error_Formatted()=32"

TIA

It seams like you only have read rights. Try go to the folder, and chek the file options...

An .olk file is the order that is opened by a terminal. They usually delete themseleves, but since updating the BoH to Win7 and updating the terms to the latest embedded we are finding these files are no longer always getting deleted and producing an error on the terms that the table is locked on another terminal.

We had an issue with files getting stuck when we transferred to windows 7 on the server and POS Ready 7 embedded on the terminals. NCR suggested we add these lines in the registry. Not sure if it will help in your situation, but it did in ours.

1. Open Windows Registry Editor using Start/Run/Regedit.
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters.
3. Add new DWORD entries (via Edit/New/DWORD) for the following names and assign a value of 0. If the names already exist, change the values to 0.
FileInfoCacheLifetime
FileNotFoundCacheLifetime
DirectoryCacheLifetime

Aloha Ross,
Deleting the files are only a temporary solution. They still come back randomly.
Strangemadness, thank you. We also had some registry edits to make but you have added a few more. I will try these. Thank you!

Even after the edits to the registry we are still having this issue. Any other thoughts?
