Hello,

I hope someone has some sort of an answer because i am lost. We have several IBM 432 model running Aloha POS. In two of them i can not get the printer to print through port A, B or C (com 1, 2 and 3 respectively). When I use LPT port it prints bunch of characters.

Things that i have done:
PIN settings are correct (I tested the same printer to a different terminal)
Windows port settings on terminal have the FIFO buffer unchecked and the baud rate is set to 9600 (as required).
It is properly configured on the back office.

I am thinking that there could be some settings on BIOS that I am not aware of. It could potentially be a hardware problem, but the chances are slim since we just received them.
Any input is appreciated.

Mitchell - thank you for reply.

We have epson u200 and tm-88; i tried both. Any idea?

Make sure the DIP switches are set on the printer as follows:
Code:
Baud rate: 9600 bps
Data bits: 8 bits
Parity: Even
Stop bit: 1 bit or more
Handshaking: XON/XOFF
Receive error: Prints '?'
Also, make sure the COM port settings are the same as the printer.
