Site wants to have two kitchen printers.
1 - for regular items and associated sides - 2 ply paper one for expo one for line
2 - just the sides

Print independently does not work because you lose the association with the item and side for printer one.
Printing the main items on both printers is exactly what the customer does not want to do - because it creates the additional clutter of having to read through the main items.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I know how fix this requeriment with Aloha Kitchen or QSR Connectsmart, Sorry, i have not idea how fix it with Aloha.

I'm not sure if it would work, but, create 2 printer groups..
Printer Group 1 - Entree Printer
Printer Group 2 - Side Printer
Route all your entrees to PG1 and sides to PG2. In theory, the sides will follow their parent item, but the parent will not follow the side.

I love AKV.

A good option would be to use chit tag printing. Both printer will still get the entire order but there will be a section added to the bottom that will summarize predefined items such as;

2 green beans
3 French fries
1 mashed potato

or

4 chicken breast
5 strip steaks
32 oz shrimp

originally designed for hibachi restaurants it will work with any items.
