I have 2 menu Items I want to charge a lower price at a certain time 5am to 11am. Not sure how to do this. I was thinking of useing price level if it had a time range. I sell the item all day. I want them to press the same button all the time. The price need to change.

Aloha v5.3.23
Thank you

Price level does not have a time range, but if you used the price level for these menu items, you can set the price level to the discounted price. Then use the price change function to set a price change for that level to the higher price. Then using events, set an event to activate the price change at 11:00am.

I am assuming you open at 5:00am. Your POS will refresh in the morning with the discount price at 5:00am, and at 11:00am, the price change will up the items to their normal price.

I do this all the time, using Price Changes.

On the button, select "Use Item Price"

then, setup price changes 1,2 and 3 or whatever.

Select the item number, set it as active and put in the price.
repeat on each price change you have created. (ignore fields for "min Price" and "Rec Price")

Then set up events to fire at the times you want ie:
00:00 SET PRICE CHANGE 1
12:00 SET PRICE CHANGE 2
19:00 SET PRICE CHANGE 3

You can also disable a price change, like if the price stays the same on Mondays, or something.

I manage all my prices this way. Mostly for CDM, but it works well and is easier to manage.
