Hello Everyone,

I have 3 Aloha POS and 1 BOH. The system was working fine until recently. They had to turn off POS2. After turning it back on, I guess it took a while to find the BOH and they made it Master terminal.

I was able to edit the downtime.ini file to switch it to last file server back to BOH but it was stuck on either looking for file server or "Failed to retreive full BIN file list from BOH for synchronization".

POS1 and POS3 were in standalone mode but today, I was able to do a File server recovery and now POS1 and POS3 are communicating normally with the BOH.

But now POS2 still is giving me the following message: "Failed to retreive full BIN file list from BOH for synchronization".

I am sure it is not an issue with the networking and firewall bc the other terminals are working and I am able to ping vice versa BOH and POS2. I am also able to browse the BOH from POS2 using \\BOH\bootdrv.

How do I get POS2 back to communicating with the BOH ?

Can I use aloha administrator to Copy POS1 settings to POS2? to recover that POS?

Let me know your thoughts.

I am running Aloha 16.3.2.2 btw

Thanks CSJ

Are you talking about the BOH firewall?
The BOH is working fine with the POS1 an 3.
Only POS 2 is unable to communicate because of that error.

I will look the the firewall on the POS

BOH boh, also check your ibercfg and make sure its loading correct term number

the issue was indeed the firewall on that terminal. Thank you very much for your help.

Does the user that runs aloha on the terminal need to be an administrator?
What do you recommend for an aloha setup?
