Aloha POS Upgrade to 5.3.19

Recently upgraded a site from Aloha QS 5.28.224 to 5.3.19 and experienced issues with KDS video software. When clearing/deleting and item from a check, the item would still appear on the video screens. Had to drop the version down to 5.3.9 for video to work properly. Should we have not skipped so many versions?

Every version has its own little tweak. In many cases when they fix the software to do one thing they break something else. It's never ending.

You should of upgrade to 5.3.0 or 5.3.1 first and then upgrade to 5.3.19. Always upgrade to the point release first and then the minor revisions.

Check in Maintenance // Store Settings // Video // Display options tab. There is a flag option for "Show cleared items on video" This is more than likely your problem.
