Hello,

I am looking for advice on simply changing my credit card processor. I don't particulary want to "tip off" my current processor yet. Is this a pretty simply change in an ALOHA 5.3.25 system?

Thanks in Advance

Very simple. First off you need to verify the prospective processor uses a platform compatible with Aloha.

When new processor info comes in perform the following in EDC
- Go to [start] and [stop pos processing]
- go to [configure], [processors], [add] and select the new processor platform from the list. If it is the same platform you are currently using you can change the info without adding a new platform.
- Fill in all of the information on the first page and the second. (navigate to the second page via the "dialing" button.
- Go to [configure], [cards] and change the platform for each card as it applies.
- If the processor platform is CES (Cardnet) and you are going to process over the internet you may want to ask for help from the CES Rep or post back here as this adds steps to the process.

**Unless you are familar with the process I would recomend that you back up the "edc.ini" file prior to any changes. Just find it with windows search and copy/paste it to a location where you will be able to find it if needed such as the desktop.

**DO NOT change processors in the middle of a current batch.

Thank You very much for that bit of help. The processor will be Paymentech and we will be going over the internet.
I have a pretty good rep that will assist. I just wanted to get an idea of the process before we actually make this change.

Thanks much!!!

In addition to this post, I strongly recommend you let your dealer make this change. There is way too much room for none desired results. Your dealer will test the parameters for you.
Secondly a dealer can check to see if things are posting to your account, and processing through the desired processor, whilst an end user has difficulty reaching the level a trained professional can.
A truly good forum post, but from experience, I have seen the opposite results. Only a suggestion!
