Hi -

Does anybody know if there's a way to print the location or add a message to the top of a CHIT stating the location of a food order?

We have a small outdoor seating area on the second floor that uses plastic plates instead of our normal dishes. This area also contains one terminal to place orders. Let's say a Cheeseburger is ordered from this terminal on the second floor, is there a way to add a message on the top of the CHIT stating "2nd Floor" this way the kitchen knows which plate to use?

Thanks in advance!!!

Just use a specific series of table numbers.

Similar to DTSMAN's suggestion, if you currently enter table numbers you could just have those cashiers taking orders on the 2nd floor to include some type of code at the beginning such as "2F 18" or something like that.

OK...thanks guys! I know that sometimes the servers will manually use a table number, but I wasn't aware that you could type in a letter in addition to the table number.

Thanks again for the replies!

Take care,

Joe

I guess it depends on how your system is set up. If your table number screen does not include letters then you could have the servers enter all tables on the 2nd floor with a "2" in front of the actual table number for example, "218" instead of "18". Hope you get it worked out.
