Yea, tell us about the bar ptr?

Is it on?
What happens when you do a self test at the bar ptr?
Did it work fine and suddenly stop completely?
Does the ptr feed paper?
Did you examine the connector? Is it soiled/wet/corroded?
Is the Comm cable damaged?
Did you do any device programming lately?
Do bar tabs print at the bar drink ptr?

Here is where to check assumeing the bar printer is working, otherwise refer TobeThors reply
1 Check item list and see where the routing is going to by defualt
2 check the servers menu and make sure you have not rerouted by menu
3 Check your events and see if you rerouted any printers there
4 check printer groups and make sure bar print group has bar printer

All equipment is in good shape, powered on and functioning, paper feeding and printing out tabs correctly at each terminal. Kitchen tickets/chits are printing out correctly in the Kitchen.

Here is our situation.
We would like to have the back patio terminal print server ticket/chits at the main bar so that the bartender can receive the orders automatically and make those drinks.

We had our new ALOHA System installed last May. We used to run MICROS
Normally we don't have servers, just bartenders. We do run table service during lunch, and the bartenders act as "servers", but they are running there own drinks. Food tickets/chits are sent to the kitchen, but there is no need for the drinks they ring to print out anywhere other than the tab.

Once a year, for a special event (and potentially for a private party here or there), we convert our little bar into a traditional restaurant with a host, servers and bartenders. When we had Aloha installed and were asked about our service style, I explained this exception and asked that they program in a server job code, so when an employee logs in as a server, they would get the table view and beverage tickets/chits would print to the main bar terminal in addition to standard food tickets printing to the kitchen.

They did program a server log in and when an employee clocks in as a server, the table view come up correctly.
However, when they ring in an order, the food send to the kitchen properly, but the drinks do not send to the bar.

We have called Aloha Tech support and have been unsuccessful at getting or dilemma across.
Unfortunately, this has been a standard issue when calling tech support.
I have been going through the ALOHA manuals and have tried changing the printing to chit settings, but have been unsuccessful at figuring out how to print drinks from the bar terminal to the main bar terminal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1 Check item list and see where the routing is going to by defualt - Drinks are set to Printer (Bar 23)
2 check the servers menu and make sure you have not rerouted by menu: I don't know where to verify this
3 Check your events and see if you rerouted any printers there: I don't know where to check events
4 check printer groups and make sure bar print group has bar printer: Our printer groups are 020 HOT; 021 COLD 023 BAR, i just noticed The group bar 023 did not have a printer assign. Maybe that was the issue? i have assigned it bar 023 and will refresh.

At number 4 you see why they did not print
After the refresh your drinks for bartenders may start printing at bar to fix
go to maintenance, menus, menu, find the bartenders menu. at the bottom of the screen you can change print routing for this menu
so make it "bar" to "none"
For your special events you will need a new menu that does not reroute for servers
To check events, go to maintenance, system, events and look through there for any rerouting

Still confused, contact me from website below.
