Have a tax issue on sales report and pmix report. The math isnt adding up. Upon pulling a pmix report i noticed the same item # appears twice. One at the full sale price and the other with tax broken out.

item# NumSold PriceSold Amount Tax
35008 15 2.50 37.50 2.63

35008 10 2.31 23.15 1.85

tax rate was set in Aloha 8%

first item looks like its charging 7% and NOT breaking out tax in "PriceSold"
second item is charging 8% and breaking out price in "PriceSold"

Sales Report tax for beer is $20.04
Pmix tax for Beer is $20.01

Any clarification would be much appreciated

Looks like smart taxes are used here. They allow a bar to have inclusive taxing and the tabs with food to then change that inclusive tax to be ad-on tax.
Lots of places do this.
You effectively get an additional 8% revenue from the add-on taxed tables/tabs.
