Hello,

I am very very new to Aloha. We recently purchased the equipment from a local restaurant that went out of business. I am looking for some guidance on how to setup/install/configure these USB printers to work with the terminals. I was able to install them in Windows an print test pages but i'm not sure i'm using the proper driver for Aloha let alone configuration/dip switches/etc. Any guidance/support is greatly appreciated.

Setting up USB printers can be done. Couple ways to do it.

Setup as OPOS - using Epson Advanced Printer driver.

Or setup as a virtual com port.
Then you can assign printer to that virtual port

Or setup as a Windows printer and setup that way in Aloha

Thank you for taking the time to reply and assist me with this. Of the three options you presented, is there a recommended or preferred method based on your experiences?

I prefer to change to Serial.

However, based on your options the windows driver is the easiest to do. If you get lost, or confused my number is on the website below

Interesting. I do have the serial cards for these printers as well. I would just need to order the cables. So you feel that is a much more stable method?

Serial is fast setup. Set dip switches on printer
dsw1 = 3 5 6 on, all rest off
dsw2 = 2 on, all rest off
nothing to setup on terminal
