We are considering putting in a couple mobile on our drive thru and using Ipads instead of the Orderman. Although the 1st generation should work, we are going to test with 2nd Generation.

Questions/Comments Please
1) What storage space do you recommend? 32? 64? more?
2) What about running it without buying a license (especially to test). Looks like possible per Aloha Ross Any one doing that and what tricks/downfalls/tips do you have?
3) We plan on using 2 terminals plus the handheld unit on each QUE. If we are circumventing the Aloha Mobile, we won't have to buy a 3rd license/mobile. There will be a total of 2 QUEs (4 terminals plus 2 mobile units total). We plan on using the cash drawer only on the inside and using the outside terminal for the credit cards only (since this is the bulk of the purchases and we don't want cash outside). Is it possible to have the customer sign the pad instead? or that is only with Aloha Mobile?

Any other feedback would be more than welcome.

Thank you.

Cannot sign on the ipad. You can set Aloha to no signature required for payments under a set $ just like at walgreens. I am not sure you you will be able to do all as you are wanting without having a license for 6 terms. Unless you plan to share the mobile device with a floor term. Then a license for 4 would work. You would then have to use intranet based teamviewer or form of VNC to work.
