Aloha Installation Manual?

Hey everyone -
Man, am I glad I came across this site! Tons of great info! I was just hired (IT consultant) to service a new restaurant that inherited an Aloha 5.3.21 system with 2 terminals. Nobody has ANY idea how to work it, and the Aloha rep we found wants $8000 to come teach everyone. My charge is to learn it, configure it, and teach management how to use it. I did find a zip file that someone posted a while back with user guides, etc. and that is fantastic! BUT - I can't get into the admin level to do anything. The ONLY logon we have is for a manager level! I was considering taking it off and reinstalling completely (which seems like the hard way, actually), but I can't find any installation/system administrator type manuals out there. Does anyone have any idea how to get a hold of that?

There is a user manual on the CD that's in PDF format that used to be fairly useless. I don't know if it's been changed to make it anymore helpful in the last two years though. You can call your dealer and ask them for a copy of that, they will probably be happy to give it you.

As far an installation manual, there isn't one. There are knowledge base documents that dealers are privy to, but you'll find that most POS companies don't make a practice of releasing these to the end users (it's mostly all online now anyway.

This board is pretty helpful for day to day issues though.
