Hi All -

Been a while since I posted, (even had to change my handle).

Anyway, we just hired a catering coordinator to handle catering orders between stores. She occasionally needs to tally up an order to give a customer a sub-total a few days before the order is placed. In the past we have run it at one of the stores and then voided the order. I installed QS on the catering coordinators machine as a demo version, FOH and BOH on same machine, works fine, don't need it for anything other than to know that her numbers will match the stores numbers when it is entered because they use the same DB.

Here's my question, I'd like to be able to run this on her machine in a windows 'window' so she can minimize it, move it etc and most of all close it without ctrl-alt-del. It would also be nice since she doesn't use it everyday that it could stay open and run its own EOD so it is always current (right now she has to open it and wait while it runs a few EOD's to catch up - basically negating any time saved by just entering and voiding on a store level).

Any ideas how to do this, or accomplish what I need in a different way? QS 6.1.x on xp machines

Thanks as always...

Best thing I could think of is set the resolution of the FOH window to 800x600 or 640x480 so that it doesn't take up the whole screen. If you get adventuress you can also set the position of the windows in another section on the screen, or even put it on a second monitor is you have the option.

Aloha FOH wants to use the full screen. Keeps servers from accessing "start" and playing solitare or surfing...

1st, remove the End of Day event and you won't have to worry about that issue.

As bigblok stated, use a two monitor video card and run Aloha on it's own monitor.

Try using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.....I have multiple locations using this. Will take up less resources has well...Best part of this all it actually free from microsoft..
