I get this weird error when trying to launch Iber.exe, This is a demo version i installed on my computer.

failed to register station name, error 0x23

It means that you are not plugged into a network.

You can work around this by putting in the following registery change:

To open the Windows Registry Editor, select Start/Run, type REGEDIT, and click OK.
Path out HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.
Verify the DisableDHCPMediaSense value exists in the folder. If it does, double-click it and change Value Data to '1'. If it does not exist, choose Edit/New/DWORD Value and name the key' DisableDHCPMediaSense'. Then double-click the entry and change Value Data to '1'.
Select Registry/Exit to exit the Windows Registry Editor.
Restart Windows.

Adam is right, that is what the problem is--but I didn't know that would fix it. The other option is to plug the machine into a network hub.

Its prob your LANA number. You can use the lanacfg.exe utility to change this. WIth aloha it needs to be set to 0 (your NIC). I dont have the AKB handy but there is an AKB on how to use it. You can find this util on the install CD.

Ya, i cant find it on the cd, i looked around ane people said you cant get it anymore. Weird, is it named somthing else on the CD?

nvm i found it and installed it to system32, just trying to find a guide or somthing on how to change it and how to find my current lana number

lanacfg showlanapaths

lanacfg setlananumber 1 0

(would change lanavnumber whatever was currently using 1 to 0)

I've heard of people having problems with it, using it in XP after SP2 has been installed. I think I witnesses this once myself, when it wouldn't actually show the current paths. There is post about it on here somewhere.
