Aloha TS v5.3.28
Windows XP
Was replacing a file server for a client, and all was well with the exception of 1 pesky issue.
The software version I had on site was 5.3.15, the customers version was 5.3.28-not ususually an issue, I just take the newer bin files and manually register them.
However, the gift card was not so easy (it's stand alone, not E-card).
I expect it would be as easy as installing the 5.3.15 version of Backoffice Giftcard, and then copying the GC history (backoffice folder) over top of it. I could get the startup utility to run in the task bar, but not actually run the GC inteface (to get to the customer database, etc).
Not surprisingly, the GC didn't work from the front house house.
I am not sure if I installed this wrong or not, but I've gotten a few cryptic errors. One saying a file wasn't registered (which I did manully, and got a little futher), then another saying gcmenu.mnf is missing or corrupt (it was neither missing nor corrupt).
Am I installing this wrong? The file locations look right, it still works on the old serer just fine, etc.
I could add more, but I will stop for now as to not make it sound more confusing what it probably is.
Thanks for suggestions-
