ALOHA EOD is not attempting to grind Manual Grind works

Aloha Technicians, Can you take a look at this EOD Debout to see if there is a reason why EOD is not grinding. I just see it not attempting. I have checked installed programs, maybe a malware or firewall got installed; nothing major this happened for the first time yesterday and now today again the system does not grind during EOD but I don't want to manual grind this site every day.

Have you checked the grind debout file (debout.g01) to see if grind started and failed or just didn't start?

It looks like the Done30 file was successfully created but I would check that as this is what signals cltsvr to initiate the grind.

Did you check store settings, system to make sure autogrind and summarize did not get unchecked? Or make sure Disable autogrind is not checked. (depends on the version)

Does the end of day section of store settings have a Winhook file defined? If so that batch file has to run successfully before grind will run. The winhook batch file has to be in the bin folder.

If the ctlsvr service is logging in as a windows user and not as system make sure the user has administrative rights.

I have checked the debout.g01 and the grind did not start. The is only log entries in their once I do a manual grind. I checked system settings and no issues there disable autogrind is not checked. The winhook file is defined but it does not exist on the hard disk. Ctlsvr is running as system. Should I remove the winhook entry since it does not exist?

Try restarting the CTLsrv service as well. If win7 machine, look to disable interactive service. Also check task manager and see if grind.exe is currently running. All else fails. Before you open reboot boh to clear out any programs that may be running in background.

Last time I saw this, grind.exe was running in the background. Once I killed all grind.exe in task manager, everything fixed itself

If you have a winhook assigned to the EOD in Aloha then the associated batch file must reside in the bin folder and it must be able to run to completion. Grind will not start until any winhook that is defined has run. If you have a winhook set in EOD write it down then remove it. Grind should run then. You can then look for the batch file to see if this is anything you need. I it is you can then research why the batch file is not starting or completing.

In addition to the above, I have seen Interactive Services Detection stop grind from working. I've always had my reseller preach stopping the service and setting it to a manual start.

The issue was the winhook.bat. Removing the entry resolved the issue.
