I just upgraded my AlohaBOH computer to Windows XP SP3 and come the next day, found that my terminals wouldn't come up. Traced the problem to the fact that the commands

D:\Aloha\bin\Ctlsvr.EXE /Service /s /SNAME 210K3R311<1T39 /SPWD 0J0R45582B0F4W /iberdir D:\Aloha /robust

and

D:\Aloha\bin\Edcsvr.EXE /Service /s /SNAME 210K3R311<1T39 /SPWD 0J0R45582B0F4W /iberdir D:\Aloha

in the Register_Iber_6_1_9_0.bat file in my Aloha root directory were not executing as intended. I believe the problem to be that the SNAME and SPWD values are no longer valid as I am able to start them under the generic 'Service' name from the command prompt. The EDC is also processing credit card payments offline and showing a "see manager" prompt. How can I find what the proper values are for the SNAME and SPWD for both of these services?

The only other significant change that I made while updating my OS was the addition of Remote Desktop functionality which I don't believe should be an issue (THen again, if I knew I wouldn't bring it up). Any thoughts.

Did you load IE7? I have heard it causes issues.

Somebody had already made me aware of that fact and I had permanently disabled the IE7 update when we first set up the system.

Also, and I did not notice until this morning when speaking to the bartender who worked las night, credit cards have not been going through at all, which I thought was corrected. The full prompt reads "credit card was processed offline. See manager." This really concerns me as I can't find where I can pull up those transactions to settle the batch, I can't find yesterday's transactions at all. Where do I look?

Sounds like someone stopped EDC processing. If it is still off contact your dealer and have them back up files from terminals. The transactions could be stored on any number of the terminals. If it was off and turned back on and you are not seeing the transactions in EDC then they are more than likely lost and will have to be keyed in manually into EDC. Through the network look for EDC folders on the terminals and make copies before turning back on.
