Aloha EDC error (v.5.2.8.224)

Hello,

I am trying to help a restaurant resolve a batch fail problem they had last night. The batch failed and popped up error details of record #43, field 19, error E. No one here knows the EDC system well, and since they are using an older version I'm having trouble even finding an customer service # to reach. The number in the manual is out of service.

If anyone could give us an idea of where to start (adjust transaction? the owner seems to think we need to get into the .ini files!) or even an idea of a number to call I would appreciate it. Thanks for you help!

Go to VOID in EDC and find transaction 43. Copy down all info you see. You can void this transaction and that will probably take care of your issue. You will need to re-authorize the tansaction obviously...

Thanks for the help! That did work. And for anyone else with a similar problem who stumbles across this post, we learned that in this version of aloha field 19 is the authorization code field. For some reason an authorization code was sent back to our system with a "+" in the middle instead of the number 9. Obviously the system didn't like it.
