Hi. I am trying to use SSL over an MPLS private network and need to shut off certificate validation etc. I am using Aloha EDC 7.0 and was told to simply shut off the certificate validation and revocation check boxes in the advanced tab in internet explorer. This doesn't seem to be the only thing that is necessary. At times, I still get the "cannot make ssl connection to host" error. Does anyone have any experience with this? This happens on a windows 2008 server and a windows 2003 server. Thanks for any help you can provide.

You'll need to have the EDC service running as a local user account (as opposed to local system or somesuch) and configure IE while logged on to the server as that account. No idea if that's truly a fix for your problem, but that's the way to try that properly.
