Hi all,

I just joined this board... thanks for having me.

We recently upgraded to the latest version of Aloha and something is happening that didn't used to on our old system.

Any time we discount an item on a check (like comp 1/2 the price on a bottle of wine), if then proceed to add a gratuity, the gratuity amount added is significantly lower than what it is supposed to be.

Sometimes when we add 18%, it will be closer to 12-13%. This is greatly frustrating our servers - and it only appears to happen when there is an item or multiple items on a check that have been discounted. Any ideas??

Thanks so much

Check the maintenance - Payments - Promo then check Apply Gratuity and Amount Tippable.

Cheers,

This sounds like NOT the latest version. I had this same problem with 6.7.14 - 6.7.18. What version are you running?
