Hey all,

I've got an Aloha 5.3.31 site with credit cards that simply will not mask. The site has been running flawlessly, this is the only issue.

I've tried changing the Credit Card Number Mask pulldown menu to all 3 settings, saving, and refreshing-- there's absolutely no change, no matter what option I select. The credit card #s show up on both copies.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I had this problem at a site before. My problem was the CC button they were hitting wasn't set to credit card in the payment tenders.

Throw this in the Aloha.ini in DATA and NEWDATA, then see what happens.

CC13MASK=XXXXOOOOOOOOO
CC14MASK=XXXXOOOOOOOOOO
CC15MASK=XXXXOOOOOOOOOOO
CC16MASK=XXXXOOOOOOOOOOOO

Bigblok-

You nailed it boss! Thank you.

As it turns out, it was the first solution-that it wasn't set to CC payment in tenders\

My money was on the second solution for one main reason:

This was database from another restaurant, owned by the exact same restaurant group. Essentially, the ONLY difference, when all was said and done, was that it was a slightly higher version of Aloha (.15 to .31) So somehow, this got modified during the upgrade process.

There was the other oddity surround this situation. Where you do check the CC option under tenders, it was grey out on all buy AMEX. I compared AMEX with the other card types to notice any differences in what was check and what wasn't, but I could see any.

For the hell of it, I figured I would change the tender type (for example, momentarily change the VISA to a MC, and then back to a VISA) to try to jog something, and miraculously, that worked. The CC option was no longer greyed out, I checked it, and life was good.

Once again, my thanks--it could have taken me a while to find that one.
