I have a chance to buy an Aloha 7.0 TS system licensed for all the things we need for my biz partners new restaurant venture. Old owners went bankrupt and all I know is they ran Radiant terms and for now I am under the impression they were using 7.0 (which I thought was not out to the public yet) My full time job has been tech and Aloha POS support for our stores. I have 10 years Aloha experience and currently run TS 6.5 and TS 6.7 systems. Is 7.0 out to the public?

If I buy this used system which I would mainly be buying for the key is this legal?

What if I find I don't have access to an account with enough privledge. Is there any new install setup that can give me wide access without having a dealer key.

I have read that they really lock the 7.0 system down so that some of the ways I setup my sysadmin levels since the ALT-X went away (files with my full access permissions) won't work in 7.0 Am I going to have to have a Dealer Contract and buy his new equipment to be able to get setup to administer and run 7.0 and later

eburks,

there is a work around in getting you full admin rights to aloha manager.
