I am trying to move my Aloha terminals to Windows 7 and I have seen the notes from here and other sites instructing to disable simple file sharing , etc, etc, etc, etc.
Everything works except when I try to post to our PMS system. The terminal gets a message indicating that no response was received. In reality the server is receiving the communication back from the PMS just as it always has. The DEBOUT log indicates that the terminal never picked up the response file (TXN00001) from D:\Aloha\PMS.
This seems like a permissions issue with Windows 7, like it doesn't have the rights to the PMS folder on the server. I've checked that everything is shared with all users and all users have full rights.
I need to get this resolved. I have nine sites with anywhere from three to 19 terminals each, ALL on XP.
I'd appreciate any ideas/help. Thank you in advance.
