I have a computer, just upgraded to Win7 X32 (finally). RUnning Aloha 6.2. They have a LPT hasp, and I am unable to find a hasp driver that will work in this version. Anyone have a haspdriver or hinstall.exe that works with this version of Aloha. Ihave downloaded the most recent drivers from Sentnels site already. That did not work. The error in the debout is always not being able to find hasp. IT s in LPT1, has legacy enabled. Its only with this version of Aloha do I have issues finding the right LPT hasp driver.

Ross, Did you get this figured out? What version of the Sentinal driver were you using or have been using with Win 7? I know there were some versions prior to 7.5.9 that would not work on Win 7 if application compatibility engine was turned off in windows group policy.

I have tried many differnent versions of Haspinstaller. Finally got a picture of HASP
I have never seen this style of HASP for an aloha system. At moment they are back with old server and working. The hasp looks like a micros HASP and not Aloha.
This win7 was a new 32 bit os and no group policy issues

Ross, The hand written serial number on that key would have been issued around 2003/2004. That style HASP was used by Aloha back in the day. The versions of floppy boot and hasp residing on the master term (pre 4.0). The number and HASP style don't correspond. Possibly from an old system and Aloha assigned a new serial number after it was relicensed?

Is it just v6.2 that you are having issues with?

I have found that often if there is an issue with the HASP drivers I have to uninstall them, unregister Aloha, reinstall HASP drivers, install Aloha, reinstall the HASP drivers with a reboot between every step. Any more I completely configure Windows then make an image of the drive before installing HASP and Aloha.

It looks like the 5.9x HASP drivers would have come out about the same time as Aloha 6.2. Might try that if you have one. I have been looking but have not found them online yet. Sentinal does not seem to have much of an archive.

Verify that the lpt card port setting is correct. Sometimes Win 7 will assign it LPT3 instead of LPT1
