Aloha 5.0 NT System Crash, DLL Hell 1

Hi,
I have Aloha TS 5.034 on Windows NT SP6.

Win NT recently, due to loss of power, was corrupted so we had to reinstall it. I have everything setup except that when I run CTLSVR.EXE I get the following error:

Any ideas what could be wrong here? I have tried MSVCRT.dll version 4.20, 5 and 6.

Any help would be really appreciated!!!

Some additonal info:

If I use version 5.0.0.7002 CTLSVR runs but AlohaMGR doesn't start -complains about entry point _lc_collate_cp missing
If I use version 6.0.8397.0 - CTLSVR does not start.

I had the same problem once, updated the windows XP service pack and it fixed the problem.

5.0.34 will run on xp? I did not know that.

Hi,
I installed XP SP2 and when I tried to start CTLSVR it says:

The procedure entry point __lc_collate_cp could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

Do I need SP3 or something else is missing here?

OK - got it working (I had a .local file that I was trying to use during the DLL Hell) that was overriding the latest XP version.

Now I am getting a security key error. Does the Parallel Port HASP Key dongle need different drivers for Win XP? The hinstall.exe -i command doesn't work on XP.

I used hdd32.exe to get the HASP4 dongle working now - CTLSVR is running and so is Aloha Manager.

I am having other problems with Aloha Mgr now - I will start a new thread for that.
