I have a customer who uses a (very) old Aloha POS v4.x - (don't worry - they don't run credit cards through it).

Any how, they were using old Javelins with Windows 95 on the FOH. I don't know the current Aloha account password on the XP BOH, so I created a new account called alohasvc which I know the password to.

I can write to the BOH from the terminal and from the server to the terminal. All seems to be fine there, but I can't get FOH out of redundancy.

I have checked the following:
> Write file from BOH to both terminals
> Write file from FOH to BOH file server
> Checked permissions
> Changed logon of CTLSVR
> Removed BOOTDRV share and re-created it manually on BOH
> Checked all permissions and sharing level for BOOTDRV share
> Checked LANA on FOH and BOH (not sure it matters in this version)
> Verified that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled
> Ensured that SET ROBUST=TRUE
> Used TermInst on both FOH terminals for fresh copies of Aloha folders

I'm thinking that some registry changes / security policy changes were made in order to accomodate the Windows 95 terminals with guest access. Does anybody have a AKB for an XP fileserver with Win 95 FOH terminals? I'm sure there are some changes to the registry or the security policy that is causing my problem.

Any help or suggestions you can provide is much appreciated - I'm at a loss.

Logs from term2 (currently acting as server in redundancy)
