Mitel Mxe MCD 4.1. This is our own internal system and I've been tasked with making some changes of which one I'm not sure is possible.

Our sales team do not want to give out their mobile numbers, so the plan is to give out DDI's and they have their mobile programmed as a personal contact number within voicemail allowing the client to press 2 within voicemail and call the sales rep without knowing what number has been dialled. However, this is my problem. They want this feature to be unavailable during holidays and be manually selected at weekends. This way the caller can still be sent to voicemail, but the option for being sent to mobile should not be present. Personally I don't think this is possible, but I'd love to be proved wrong.

not possible as you requested. a couple of things you could do.

using a different COS for the VM ports for day and night mode you could disable the feature by changing the account code length (I can explain further if you are interested in this route). it would only make it so the feature didn't work, the prompt would still be there, so would just iritate the caller.

you could use 1 instead of the suggested 2 for the cell. it still works, but you don't get the canned prompt after the greeting and it is up to the user to tell the caller in the greeting that the option is there. then they could use a temporary greeting and not mention the 1 for when they didn't want to use it

purchase external hot desk licenses and use dynamic extension instead where the user can easily enable or disable twinning to their cell phone and the caller isn't even aware that they are available or not. the only thing is, they will get all calls, not just the ones where the caller has decided to try their cell.

upgrade to a NPM/MAS and with the call director and override, the user can enable and disable both the greeting and the one touch options

Thanks, it think I know what is reqiured to change the COS account codes to stop this feature from working. But yes there is a high chance of annoying the client.

I'm not sure how you change the option to 1 within voicemail, and how that it would be linked to the personal contact number.

The twining is a good idea, however we want this to happen when the sales person is out of the office and on DND or logged out. With this solution they would need to be out of DND at all times, oterwise they will be sent to voicemail anyway.

what I meant with the option 1, was the in the personal contacts, you can use all the digits 1-9. if you use 2, the canned prompt comes on "to reach this persons cell phone, dial C the 2 key.." after the greeting. if you use 1, no canned prompt comes on, but it still works. I often suggest the user to use 1 and not to prompt the caller to dial 1 in their greeting, and then let only their preferred customers know they can dial 1. makes them feel special.
