Hi folks,

we have an e-mail-program/crm-system called genesisWorld and it's requiring a mailserver that allows multisession to one e-mail-account.

We have sendmail 8.10.2 installed and it's only accepting one session per e-mail-account. we always get the error: "mailacc.pop lock busy! Is another session active?"

How can we configure the sendmail-server to accept simultaneous connections to the same e-mail-account?

Thank you for answers! :)

Are you sure that this is a sendmail problem? "mailacc.pop" makes me suspect the pop3 server, which sendmail is not.

the sendmail-server is our pop3-server.

The complete error-message is:

Server: mail.ourdomain.de
07/07/07 10:38:47
-ERR [IN-USE] /var/mail/.accountname.pop lock busy! Is another session active?

Sendmail is NOT a pop3 mail server. It is an MTA. It sends and receives the mail for you but when someone logs in to get their mail, It is with the pop3 protocol which your pop server cyrus-imap or dovecot listen to on port 110. Sendmail only listens on port 25 so it has nothing to do with your problem.
