We currently have provision to dial external numbers that start with 01, 02, 07 and need the ability to call 03 numbers as well. How is this done? I have a feeling it is to do with the way the call routing is configured.
For reference we have internal extensions beginning with 2, 3, 7 (voicemail) and 8.

Thanks.

Look in LD 90 to see if you can find one of the working numbers set up, usually your access code plus the number ie 901 or 902 (they may be followed by other digits too) then build a new one for 03 the same way/format.

Thanks for the reply. Can I trouble you to provide the FEAT I need to print please? I know the small area of the PBX that deals with adding new TNs/DNs and such related admin but I haven't had the need to explore further before.

Try DN print and see the use for 03..This maybe used or being configured in some other features..

LD 20
REQ PRT
TYPE DNB
<cr>
<cr>

For reference the number that is trying to be dialled starts 0333.

From that output the only DNs I can see that *could* vaguely match are:

DN #33
TYPE FFC
FEAT SPCC

DN *3
TYPE FFC
FEAT SSPU

DN *00
TYPE FFC
FEAT PUGR

However I wouldn't have thought any of those are the answer because of the following entries:

DN *20
TYPE FFC
FEAT GHTA

DN *7
TYPE FFC
FEAT ELKA

DN #1
TYPE FFC
FEAT CFWA CFWD

....and numbers beginning 020, 07 and 01 can all be dialled.

We do have some extensions that are 31xx and 32xx but that also won't (?) be the problem because there are also a lot of extensions that are 2xx.

Interestingly, I found a note of an 0300 number I had rung previously, so it doesn't look as though it is all 03 numbers.

From what I can see....

1: you have an entry for 03 in the SPN table (LD 90), FLEN (max numb of expected digits) = 11 which is the same as most, and that you are using RLI 1 .. also the same as many. This would not appear to be the source of problem.

2: What is in the DGT table associated with the route selections in LD 86, RLB = 1?

3: Have you looked in the FCR tables (LD49) to see if the 03 code is allowed? You may find that there are variations of 03 which are restricting the numbers that you can actually dial. Also, if there is a DGT manipulation as asked on point 2 (eg: carrier insertion code) then in LD 49 FCR tables, you then need the inserted digits etc so that what you are dialling is valid.

4: Not likely but.... is your carrier blocking the number outgoing??

Looks like you've got it. 033 is in the deny list of a few of the FCR tables.

Thanks for all your help everyone.
