Im trying to implement the above so a group of TS users only see certain ones. Thing is when i apply the list of .cpl files, it seems to be a bit funny on what it wants to show, i.e. if i add odbccp32.cpl it doesnt show it, but if i add, say, telephony or fonts, its more than happy

Ive enabled the 'only allow specific applets' setting in gp, has anyone else had this ?

I think the ones im having trouble with are not by design, i.e. the main ones i want to show are add/remove programs, odbc and fonts for now. Add/rem progs struggled at first, but when i added fonts, it seemed to stay, but now folder options has also appeared without me even specifying it !

Id say its a different issue to what youve highlighted

Is the 'Hide specified control panel applets' policy also enabled?

Nope, All i have enabled relating to this is 'show only specified control panel applets' and then the list of applets within that setting

Does anyone else have any experience in this ?

I tried it the other way round and used hide specified control panel applets and the reverse happened, certain .cpl applets would show and would not be hidden, such as ncpa.cpl

im definetely specifying the correct .cpl file as i have ran each one before i try to hide it.
