I'm in yet another conundrum and am hoping that someone out there can help me out. I've scoured the BC8 docs and just can't find the direction I need to be going on this one. I just hooked our Cisco PBX to the Ericsson of a company that we are merging with. TLU77/1 ISDN PRI connection. The Cisco can call the ericsson and the ericsson can call the Cisco, but I'm having difficulty figuring out how to allow calls from the outside to call over the external route to the cisco. I'd really appreciate it if someone could offer some direction on this one. The cisco phones are all on 2XXX, with an associated external route.

Hi Steve L,

It could be the Traffic Matrix or your network numbering or... one of several more options. So some extra info is needed to help...

Route prints for both routes would be a good start… ROCAP:ROU="TLU77/1 ISDN PRI connection to CISCO" & "the external route";

Also the DEST codes…. RODDP:DEST=ALL; and the TCMAP:CON=T;

You have forgotten to printout rocap for external route.

But tcmap is not the problem. For testing change the traf
d3-d6 of your public line to 1515. (after testing change back!) If it works the error should be in nadap. If it is not working, give us nutrp and lcddp:tab=dnt1/dnt2 and nadap.

Is 126xxxx included in the public numberplan? Maybe the digits are too long, because for PSTN the extensionnumber is 7 digits now. Maybe PSTN checks the length of extensions...

By the way: Why srt=1 is used in roddp:dest=126;? Is MD simulating Public PSTN? Please give me rodap:rou=20; for explanation.

DEST 126 has ADC bit set to 1 "Enblock Sending" do you have MIN and MAX values set in NA? NADAP:MUMTYP=NL;

NANLS:EXL=126,MAX=4,MIN=4; /* to set it */

This is used to initiate number length data which helps to reduce seizure time of tone code receiving and digit sending units and faster through-connection of the speech path regardless of B-answer. Or change the ADC...

This is just a “hope and poke” attempt at fixing it… all the route settings provided seem OK.

Lalrl: the SRT=1… Is to send the complete 2xxx to the CISCO… that bit is OK.

I think the problem lies in the way my numbering plan is setup. (Or my lack of understanding thereof) I currently have only added 2 as an ED to the numbering plan. Is there another place that it should be added in order to allow calls from the PSTN to access the external destination? 126 is not part of the public number plan. If you'd like to see a NADAP let me know.

Thanks for all the help, I really feel like Ericsson is this secret society that meets in Sweeden and if you're from the US, your information resources are limited if any, there certainly isn't any ericsson.com web help :). This forum has been a lifesaver during my "trial by fire" with the MD-110.

you must "translate" (or "route") a part of your external did range to the cisco. let's give an example :

you have PRI with following did range : 8007200-299 extensions are thus 2xx. how does the md110 translate the external ISDN number to an internal extension? very simple via number conversion (nutri).

just add this entry : NUTRI:ENTRY=80072,NUMTYP=0,CNVTYP=0,TRC=4;

but what if you want to "split" your did range to serve both internal extension and cisco extensions? let's say 200-249 goes to the md110 and 250-299 goes to cisco (via md110). supposing your cisco extensions rage from 126250 to 126299 you must simply do the following :

It will also depend on what type of number the setupmessage from PSTN contains.
If daddy's trick dont work .
Use the same programming but subsitute the numtyp parameter with eiter "national=2" "network spesific=3" or
"local public number=4"

We currently only have copper trunks coming into thw MD-110, no DID lines. Does the same rule apply, or would there be a different naming convention when you're not dealing with digital lines incoming.

If no DID ,external callers can be transfered by the operator .Or do you want some kind of disa function ..

DID means Direct indialling and has nothing to do regarding kind of physical trunk line.
It means that you have reserved a number series in the public which can be dialled directly from the public without going through the the operator.
 
So when we're speaking of DID we're talking about a function of the Ericsson system then, and not a number series that is purchased by the Telco? I was assuming that we were talking about a PRI with a block of DID numbers assigned to it. My mistake. Thank you for clarifying.

Let me describe an example, there are two PBXs (Let’s say A & B both of them are MD110)linked together by TLU77/1 ISDN PRI connection. A can call B and B can call A. All extensions on site A as 2XXX and All Extensions on Site B as 3XXX. The External Destination through Analogue trunk lines are (9) in both sites. To call the Operator dial (0) on both sites too.

The problem as follows:
All Analogue trunk lines should be located in Site A and the operator on site A should serve both sites , so the operator on site B will be canceled.

There is a Voice Mail system on site A. this Voice mail system should serve both sites.
First step:
to allow extensions on both sites to call each other
On site A:
RODDI:DEST=3,ROU=1,ADC=163610000000025000,TRC=0,SRT=1,NUMACK=0;


On site B:
RODDI:DEST=2,ROU=1,ADC=163610000000025000,TRC=0,SRT=1,NUMACK=0;


Second step:
To allow extensions on site B to access the Analogue trunk lines and the Operator and to allow the callers from outside to reach extensions on site B:

On site A:
NANSI:NUMTYP=EN,NUMSE=81;

RONDI:ROU=1,EXNOPR=6-81;

On site B:
NANSI:NUMTYP=EN,NUMSE=82;

RONDI:ROU=1,EXNOPR=6-82;

RODDI:DEST=0,ROU=90,ADC=163610000000025000,TRC=0,SRT=1,NUMACK=0;
RODDI:DEST=9,ROU=90,ADC=163610000000025000,TRC=0,SRT=1,NUMACK=0;

Help me!!!
I have MD110
I have a sim cards, but not have a gateway.
What kind of isdn gateway ,can i buy?
 
How is DID numberseries handled ? Are the GSM SIM card numbers mapped somehow in the gateway towards internal PBX numbers ?

Also what about ISDN services (VPN) ? Is this taken care of by the gateway ? Can we use DRA functionality in the MD110 ?

Any experiences on the matter is appreciated !


 
As for VPN
How do you think uus messages can come through
a gsm net.
DRA btw is not dependent on signaling capability
in the public network .
