I am trying to give read/write access to a certain group but I only want them to beable to have this access on certain machines in the building.

This is what I have done:

I created a group and placed the users as members of this group. I gave this group read/write permissions to the share and folder.

I created a second group and placed all computers in my network as members of this group with the exception of the ones I want to allow. I then set deny access on the share and folder for this group.

It does not work. The users in the group can log on from any computer and access this share and folders in it.

any ideas?

Why create a second group with/for computers when its users you are trying to control?. Why not create a second group of users. In the shared folder properties, disallow the second group.
